This sculpture within the W San Francisco hotel lobby invites guests inside and presents them with a sample of the artistic nature of the San Francisco area. The various vantage points within the W informed the shape of Lumina, as every angle provides a unique perspective: cavernous and engulfing from beneath, elongated and pod-like from above. Over 7,000 fiber optic strands cascade down 27 feet to illuminate the flowing structure of Lumina.
