Originally a hunting sanctuary hidden in the depths of a heavily wooded Boonton, this radical project is not only a tale of design’s transformative powers to rejuvenate a home, but of a family’s rise from suburban sprawl to new ecological heights. With surgical accuracy, the existing structure was carefully nicked, tucked, lifted and lowered to receive its vertical expansion. Expansive windows allow the family to enjoy the nature surrounding their home as well as monitor their young children as they play in the yard.
